December 2009 News!
Ahh! Now that the 2009 Craft Show season is over for us, we can return to “normal” life on the farm!
Website Update
As you see, our website is undergoing a lot of changes. We will continue to update this news section at the start of each month, to let you know what we are doing, how life on the farm is going, and what is new!
Wait Time Reduced
Our philosophy at Sheeples is that you should not have to wait a long time to get your fibre processed – your animals produce new fibre every year – so you should get last year’s fibre back as finished product before you are ready to send in the next year’s fibre!
We have been working double shifts these last few weeks to get all the custom processing orders finished before the end of the year.
New fibre received for processing will have a 2-month processing time.
So that means that fibre arriving at our door in December, will be ready in February!

Our two new Pure Bred Merino Rams are here! They are still a bit shy of their new surroundings and new people, but they are coming around! I am sure that when they get introduced to the girls next week, their attitudes will change dramatically! |

Long Staple Spinning
We have perfected our long staple spinning in the course of the last few months, and can now spin fibre of almost any length! However it is crucial that all of the fibre is long. Long (9”) and short (3”) cannot be mixed in the same batch.
